Inspired by Snakes
Currently inspired by vintage snake jewelry, mainly from the Victorian era like the pieces pictured here.
In the 19th century snake rings were used as wedding/engagement rings as a symbol of luck, eternity and love. It is said that Queen Victoria's wedding ring was a snake ring. The symbol in jewelry in other cultures is also worn for protection, strength, and fertility. Good reasons to wear one.

Urban Prankster - Ikea Guillotine
Ever been to Ikea on a weekend? Found this on the Urban Prankster blog. Pick up one of these for DIY justice. I just moved and have to make the compulsory Ikea shopping trip.

Cut, file, solder, grind, polish, and set
Sheets and wires of silver formed by hand into a simple cocktail ring. It makes an elegant setting for a rose quartz cabochon.

Je Ne Sais Qoia
THE HULLY GULLY
In english this would just be cute and kitschy. In French it has that certain je ne sais quoi.

Cali...I heart your sun, sand, and waves
Back in NYC after spending a week in California. I participated in Thread in San Diego, my first west coast trade event. I think it was a success. Loads of fun, cool bands, vibe, and made some new friends. I moved my booth for the 2nd day and was near the exit by the beer garden and stage so I had one of the best spots to catch all the bands performing.
Left San Diego with my heart a flutter and a giddy girlhood crush on the sun, surf, and sand. Hope to do another event on the west coast soon.
